Danish utility Orsted is considering to participate with projects in the North Sea part of Germany’s 1.6GW second tendering round for pre-developed offshore wind projects that was launched earlier this week, chief executive Henrik Poulsen said.

“We have strong projects that we are now currently assessing that potentially may go into the North Sea part of the auction,” Poulsen said, when asked by Recharge why the company has not bought projects from smaller developers in order to take part in the Baltic Sea section of the German tender.
