SSE sees July 2018 first power at Scotland's 588MW Beatrice

UK utility SSE expects the 588MW Beatrice wind farm, under construction in the outer Moray Firth off the east coast of Scotland, to be generating first power in July 2018.

“In the past twelve months, the Beatrice project team installed all offshore pile clusters, over a third of the jacket substructures, and over 60km of subsea cabling,” says Steve Wilson, project manager for Beatrice Offshore Windfarm.
