Iberdrola-owned Avangrid Renewables has signed a wind PPA with Nike that will make the sportswear giant 100% renewable at its North American facilities.
The deal will see Nike take 86MW-worth of output from the 286MW Karankawa wind farm in Texas.
Avangrid has already made a separate deal with Austin Energy for the other 200MW at Karankawa, which the developer plans to start building in autumn 2018.
