Abu Dhabi renewables company Masdar has signed a collaboration deal with Middle East energy infrastructure company Elsewedy Electric and Japanese developer Marubeni to build an 800MW wind power portfolio in Egypt.
Masdar has already developed a a total of 30MW of PV plants in partnership with Egypt’s New and Renewable Energy Authority, but this is its first wind power project in the country.
