Siemens Gamesa has won two turbine orders in the United States with a combined capacity of 330MW.
The Spanish-German wind OEM will supply 47 of its G132-3.465MW machines to Sammons Renewable Energy for the Midway Wind project in San Patricio County in Texas.
The project was originally awarded by Apex Clean Energy and recently acquired by Sammons Renewable Energy. It includes a 10-year service and maintenance contract and is slate to be completed in late 2018.
