Germany grid-connected 1.25GW in new offshore wind capacity off its North and Baltic Sea coasts in 2017, bringing the country’s cumulative capacity for wind at sea to 5.39GW.

The North Sea dominated new installations, with 152 turbines being grid connected, or a capacity of 896.8MW, according to figures from Deutsche WindGuard for four different German wind industry associations.
