German utility Innogy plans to submit a bid to develop the 1.2GW Sofia wind farm – formerly known as Teesside B – on the Dogger Bank zone off northeast England into the UK’s next contracts for difference (CfD) auction in 2019.
Paul Cowling, Innogy’s UK managing director for offshore wind, said that it intends to progress with development work on the Sofia project in the coming months, in preparation for a bid in next year's round.
