Avangrid Renewables has begun commercial operations at three new US wind farms with a combined capacity totaling 504MW in New Mexico, California and Colorado.
The 298MW El Cabo wind farm in Torrance County, New Mexico, uses 142 Siemens Gamesa turbines, and supplies energy to utility Southern California Edison.
The 131MW Tule project in the McCain Valley of eastern San Diego County, California, uses 57 GE turbines.
