Germany has reserved at least 500MW for Baltic Sea projects at its 1.6GW offshore wind tender on 1 April — but there may only be one bidder for this capacity.
Of the eight Baltic projects that have pre-qualified for the tender — four (or possibly five) are owned by Spain’s Iberdrola and there are doubts as to whether the remaining projects are advanced enough to even enter a bid.
