Goldwind will supply turbines in Kazakhstan for the first time when it equips a 5MW project in the Central Asian nation.

The Chinese wind group will deliver two GW109/2500 machines to the Shelek project under development by local group Samruk in the country’s Almaty district.

Delivery of the turbines is expected in May this year for EPC contractor CITIC, an official at the company’s Goldwind International unit told Recharge.
