Mel Kroon in the second half of 2018 will resign from his position as chief executive and chairman of Dutch-German transmission system operator TenneT, a position he had held since 2002.

Under Kroon’s leadership, the company owned by the Dutch state has become the sole TSO for offshore wind grid links in the Netherlands and the German part of the North Sea, as well as the TSO of the electricity grid on land in great parts Germany and the Netherlands, catering for 41 million customers.
