Governor Andrew Cuomo has launched an initiative for New York to deploy 1.5GW of energy storage by 2025, fulfilling a legal mandate as the state advances policies to achieve the ambitious goal.
Energy storage will employ 30,000 people in the state by then, if New York meets what the governor’s office calls the nation’s largest commitment per capita of any state to the sector.
