Spain’s Gas Natural Fenosa (GNF) got the green light for 330MW of wind development in Australia after the Victoria state government approved a revised planning application.

GNF unit Global Power Generation (GPG) plans to build the Hawkesdale and Ryan Corner wind farms 25km from Warrnambool in the Moyne Shire region of Victoria.

The developer received consent after submitting proposals to reduce the number of turbines compared to original plans submitted in 2010, using 82 newer machines with a tip height up to 180-metres.
