Argentina has commissioned its first wind farm with a power purchase agreement (PPA) in the competitive electricity market since the government published guidelines in mid-2016.
Genneia, a local power generator, brought a $40m, 24MW expansion of its Rawson facility into commercial operation with President Mauricio Macri in attendance.
The company signed a 20-year PPA with Loma Negra, the largest cement producer in Argentina.
