Eolfi backs W1N floating project despite Taiwan EPA blow

French floating wind pioneer Eolfi said it remains confident its W1N project off Taiwan has a viable future, despite rejection by the country’s Environmental Protection Administration (EPA).

Eolfi wants to develop a portfolio of five 500MW floating wind arrays off the Asian island nation, and earlier this month announced that Spanish group ACS would join it in the venture as a majority shareholder.
