Indian wind power prices continued their downwards trajectory as an auction in the key wind state of Gujarat drove winning bids as low as 2.43 rupees/kWh ($0.038/kWh).

The 500MW Gujarat wind tender is the largest held by one of India’s states, and the winning rates comfortably undercut the 2.64 rupees/kWh seen in the country’s second national auction, held in November.
