A group of corporate heavyweights led by telecoms group Telstra has signed PPA deals for output from Australia’s 429MW Murra Warra Wind Farm, kick-starting construction of the project’s first stage.

A consortium of Telstra, ANZ, Coca-Cola Amatil and the University of Melbourne agreed long-term offtake deals covering the 226MW first phase of the project in the state of Victoria, which will be the Southern Hemisphere’s largest when fully developed.
