Experienced European offshore wind contractor GeoSea will form a joint venture with Taiwan shipyard CSBC Corporation to bid for turbine installation work off the country’s coasts.
The joint venture plans to be up and running by mid-2018, in time to compete for contracts under Taiwan’s offshore wind programme.
The island nation is currently granting environmental permits for its first projects with a view to installing up to 5.5GW
