Alliant Energy has finalized an agreement to acquire a 170MW project in central Iowa, the first industry deal made public since majority Republicans in Congress unveiled the final draft of their federal tax overhaul bill last weekend that preserves the main wind subsidy through 2019.
Both chambers are expected to approve the sweeping legislation before Saturday, with President Donald Trump saying he will sign it into law without delay.
