President Donald Trump’s administration is seeking public comment as part of a formal process to replace the Clean Power Plan (CPP), his predecessor’s landmark climate-change rule that mandates a 32% reduction in carbon emissions from existing US power plants by 2030.

On Monday, the Environmental Protection Agency issued an advanced notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPR) asking individuals and stakeholder groups to present proposals for content and guidelines for the new rule within 60 days.
