The final turbine has been installed at Orsted’s 573MW Race Bank offshore wind farm off northeast England, which is expected to be fully operational in early 2018.
The Danish operator said all 91 Siemens Gamesa 6MW turbines are now in place, many featuring the first blades to be manufactured at the OEM's factory in Hull.
The installation of the final turbine means the project, located some 27km off Blakeney Point on the North Norfolk coast, remains on schedule.
