The global wind industry breathed a big sigh of relief at the end of last week, with the final draft of the Republican tax bill preserving all the key elements of the multi-year phase-down of the wind production tax credit (PTC).
The renewables sector did not escape entirely unscathed in the final bill, which appears to have enough votes to pass in both chambers in the days ahead – and would then be swiftly signed into law by President Donald Trump.
