Siemens Gamesa has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Taiwan International Ports Corporation to begin a joint investigation into the development of areas of Taichung harbour to support offshore wind development.
The non-binding MoU covers the search for a potential manufacturing site for offshore wind components, office facilities, and staging areas including storage, pre-assembly, and quayside load-out.
