Buried in a massive 740-page US defense authorization bill is language that creates a new Department of Defense entity to evaluate potential “adverse impacts” that wind turbines and energy projects may have on military operations and readiness.
The proposed Military Aviation and Installation Assurance Siting Clearinghouse would replace the Department of Defense Siting Clearinghouse, which was established in June 2010.
