Danish offshore wind group Orsted passed another milestone in its plans to deploy 2.4GW off Taiwan when its four project sites were recommended for approval by a committee of the country’s Environmental Protection Administration (EPA).

Orsted’s Changhua offshore wind projects made their third appearance before the ad-hoc review panel, which had previously asked the developer to come back with further assurances on issues such as effect on birdlife before passing their environmental impact assessment (EIA).
