Danish developer Orsted has awarded marine specialist Fugro a contract to undertake geotechnical investigations at its large-scale offshore wind development projects in the US.
Orsted, formerly Dong Energy, is pursuing the development of the Bay State Wind project, located 24km off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts in an area with potential for 2GW, and the 1GW-plus Ocean Wind project, located 17km off the New Jersey coast.
