UAE-based shipyard Lamprell warned it faces a “significant loss” from its part of the East Anglia 1 offshore wind farm after admitting a “steeper than anticipated learning curve” as it enters the renewable energy sector.
Lamprell told investors it is “still confident of meeting our client's expectations in terms of schedule and quality” on the EA1 project after securing an order for 60 foundations from developer Iberdrola, which is building the 714MW wind farm off eastern England.
