Lithuania plans to hold onshore and offshore wind auctions in the coming years to boost the share of renewables in its electricity mix as part of its new 2050 energy strategy, the Baltic nation’s energy minister Zygimantas Vaiciunas said at the opening of the WindEurope conference 2017.

The country is targeting 30% of its electricity from renewables by 2020, 45% by 2030, and 80% by 2050.
