India set out plans for annual wind and solar tendering of 10GW and 30GW respectively for the next two financial years as it races to the finishing line of its 175GW 2022 renewables targets — which it claimed it may well end up beating.

Power and renewables minister Raj Kumar Singh laid out the timetable as part of a detailed roadmap towards meeting the 175GW goal, which is dominated by plans for 60GW of wind and 100GW of solar capacity.
