TPI Composites, the US-based maker of wind blades, will establish an advanced technology centre in Kolding, Denmark, putting it directly under the nose of rival LM Wind Power.

LM Wind, which was recently acquired by General Electric, is headquartered in Kolding, a seaport in southern Denmark.

TPI's new technology centre will put it in closer contact with many of the world’s most important wind manufacturers, with Siemens Gamesa, Vestas and MHI Vestas all boasting manufacturing and R&D facilities in Denmark, and Nordex not far away in northern Germany.
