The 950MW Moray East project off Scotland has named Siemens as the preferred supplier for the onshore works and offshore substation topsides for the wind farm.

The scope of the work includes the design, supply, construction and installation of the onshore substation, 30km of onshore underground export cable, and three offshore substations including topside structures.

Moray East, officially named Moray Offshore Windfarm East, is being led by Portugal’s EDPR, which owns 77% of the project, with French energy giant Engie holding the remaining 23%.
