Spanish renewable energy developer Acciona Energía, says it will double its capacity in operation in Latin America to more than 2GW by 2020.
The announcement was made at the opening ceremony of 246MWp El Romero Solar PV plant in Chile’s Atacama desert region. El Romero will sell power to Chile power distributors – with 15-year PPAs signed at the 2013 tender – and will also supply power to Google through 2030.
