Chinese offshore engineering giant Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) has launched what is being billed as the wind industry’s largest self-elevating jack-up vessel, the Longyuan Zhenhua 3, at Nantong seaport in Jiangsu province.

The vessel boasts a 2,000-tonne lifting capacity and 120-metre maximum lifting height, and ZPMC said its operating water depth of 50-metres is a new record in Chinese offshore sector.
