Brazil approves QGER wind start-up

Brazil's power regulator Aneel authorized Queiroz Galvão Energias Renováveis (QGER) to start commercial operation of the 24.3MW Boca do Córrego wind farm.

The plant is located in the city of Amontada in the northeastern state of Ceará.

QGER is a privately held company that bought control of Boca do Córrego from local developers in 2012.

Boca do Córrego is made up of 9, 2,7MW turbines and stated tests in June.
