A Swedish industrial park hopes to host the country’s first manufacturing facility for offshore wind foundations.

Varvsudden Heavy Industry Park of Öresund aims to develop the plant at Landskrona, just north of Malmö on the Öresund coast in southern Sweden, a location it says is ideally placed to serve Baltic Sea and North Sea developments.

Varvsudden has contracted fellow Swedish company, Himec Solutions, as technical advisor to the project, with responsibilities including technical design and commercial development of the production facility.
