The US wind industry saw record 29.6GW under construction or in advanced development in the third quarter of 2017, a 27% increase versus a year earlier, as developers advance 149 projects that qualified last year for the full federal production tax credit (PTC), American Wind Industry Association (AWEA) data released today shows.
There was 13.75GW of capacity being built, up 638MW from the second quarter, and 15.87GW
