Logan's Gap will join these turbines in Pattern's Texas fleet

US renewables giant Pattern Energy has bought the 200MW Logan’s Gap wind farm in Texas, which will sell most of its output to retail giant Walmart.

The group's Pattern Development arm bought the project in Comanche County from original developer Pioneer Green Energy for an undisclosed sum.

The wind farm’s new owner expects to conclude finance for the project and start full-scale construction in the fourth quarter of this year.

Full commercial operation is expected in late 2015.

Walmart has signed a 10-year deal to buy about 60% of Logan’s Gap’s output.
