Six ocean-energy projects have landed funding from Europe’s €11m ($12.2m) Foresea ( Funding Ocean Renewable Energy through Strategic European Action) technology acceleration programme.

Testing of technology being developed by Blackfish, Bombora and Scotrenewables will be carried out at the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) in Scotland and by Ideol, Interdrones and Kornwerderz at France’s SEM REV facility as part of the third round of Foresea, which is funded under the EU’s Interreg North-West Europe economic development scheme.
