JV to build four Portugal projects

Ventinveste, a consortium including turbine group Senvion, and developer Ferrostaal will invest €220m ($296m) to develop four wind farms in northern Portugal.

The four facilities will comprise 84 turbines with 171.6MW nameplate capacity. Ventinveste and Ferrostaal will each hold 50% equity in the projects.

Construction of Project Ancora, as the venture is known, will begin in the fourth quarter with all four wind farms due to be connected to the grid by mid-2016.

Ventinveste members include Galp Energia, Martifer and Efacec, as well as Suzlon-owned Senvion.
