France is considering rule changes to make it easier for onshore wind developers to win approval for projects by avoiding administrative red tape and local planning conflicts, junior ecology minister Sebastien Lecornu has said.
“The French wind power sector is fragmented and mired by conflicts,” said Lecornu, secretary of state for ecology, adding that he had established a ministerial working group to make proposals on how to speed up onshore wind development, Reuters reported.
