Developer Apex Clean Energy has sold the 300MW Upland Prairie project in northwest Iowa to a subsidiary of Alliant Energy, part of the regulated utility’s earlier announced 1GW rate-based wind capacity plan in the state.
Virginia-based Apex did not make financial details of the transaction public. After Apex completes development work, Alliant’s Interstate Power and Light (IPL) unit will construct and operate the facility.
