Oklahoma electric utility regulators have set 8 January to begin consideration of a request by a subsidiary of American Electric Power (AEP) seeking pre-approval to recover its $1.3bn share of costs from customers for the $4.5bn Wind Catcher project.

Public Service Co. of Oklahoma (PSO) says it needs a favorable decision by the commission before 31 March if it is to advance the project.
