Danish engineering consultancy K2 Management has enlarged its role on Northland Power’s €1.2bn ($1.4bn) Deutsche Bucht (DeBu) offshore wind farm in the German North Sea, moving from engineering services on the 252MW project into full scope management of its construction.

The “lump sum” deal, the value of which was undisclosed, will see K2 shepherd the project from pre-construction through to commercial operation, which is currently slated for the end of 2019.
