The Finnish government in a draft for a new support scheme for non-hydro renewable energy has proposed to tender off 2 terawatt hours of green power in technology-neutral auctions in 2018 and 2019 that would make no distinction between onshore and offshore wind, PV, or other RE technologies.

The auction volume according to the Finnish Wind Power Association could translate into roughly 600-800MW in onshore wind capacity to be added in case onshore wind would win all of it.
