French energy group Engie and growth market investment specialist Abraaj plan to develop a 1GW wind portfolio in India.
The partners have identified a “robust pipeline” across several states that they say fits in with India’s ambition to almost double its total wind capacity to 60GW by 2022.
No details are given of timescales or the level of investment needed.
