The recent shakeup of British Columbia’s politics has opened the door to offshore wind in western Canada, the chief executive of the NaiKun Wind Energy Group tells Recharge – a view apparently shared by industry leader Dong Energy.
Despite failing to win an off-take deal in BC’s last major clean-energy tender in 2010, NaiKun has continued investing in its offshore project, located in the Hecate Strait between mainland B.C.
