The UK government has established a taskforce of senior financial experts aimed at helping to accelerate growth of green finance and boost the country’s low carbon economy.
The move comes as an estimated $13.5 trillion of investment is needed between 2015 and 2030 in the energy sector alone for the world to meet its climate change goals, according to a government statement.
