India has postponed a 1GW wind power auction planned for later this month, according to local media.

The reverse auction, originally scheduled for 19 September, could now be pushed into October according to some reports in the local media, which cite sources in the country’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

The Economic Times said the delay is to give time for resolution of key issues on grid connectivity for successful projects, and came at the request of potential auction bidders themselves.
