Siemens Gamesa wins contract to repower two US wind farms

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has won a contract from NextEra Energy Resources to repower two wind farms in Texas, a move the turbine vendor says will deliver up to 25% more annual energy production, boost reliability and efficiency.

Siemens Gamesa did not provide contract details or name the wind farms involved. Last year, NextEra informed security analysts that it would invest $250m to repower the wind farms that comprise 327MW of capacity.
