SSE confirms Dogger Bank offshore wind JV with Statoil

UK utility SSE has confirmed the formation of a joint venture with Norway’s Statoil under which the two companies will progress the development of three 1.2GW offshore wind projects on the vast Dogger Bank zone off northeast England.

SSE said the 50/50 joint venture will see both companies working collaboratively to progress Creyke Beck A, and B and Teesside A projects – with a total capacity of 3.6GW
